The story began with a 5-week journey in a 1997 RV, from Richmond, Va to Utah and back, July 23 through August 27, 2011. The next step included the sale of that RV and the purchase of a larger, classier RV we call Princess. Now we have changed RVs again. We sold the Princess to a family of 5, and purchased a 2017 Class C, smaller than the Princess but some better features as well as some limitations storage wise. And so our adventures continue.

The start of our second big trip.... Newer RV
Tuesday, Dec 27, 7:58 am we left home in the Princess of Monaco RV, headed south. First stop was Richmond Hill just south of Savannah. We are staying at a state park, Ft McAllister, for a few days while visiting the Anderson's. Sadie is with us this trip so we can only stay at pet friendly RV parks. Today we enjoyed the morning at Anderson's, then left Sadie with them while we headed to Tybee Island to have lunch at the Crab Shack with Jeff & Judy Koyza, friends from college. Now back to Anderson's for a while before heading back to the RV.

The Beginning of Our Journey
Jim bought a 1997 30-ft RV last fall in California and drove it cross country with his brother. Since then we have taken it out on several trial runs to make sure that everything is working properly and that we have the supplies we need. It has been repainted and with its new colors has been given the name "Captain America". Our first big journey begins July 23 when we leave home and head west with a PT Cruiser in tow. Our first scheduled stop will be the Corvette factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Monday July 25. We will then continue our journey west, landing in Oklahoma City to visit Cliff Sheriff and family on July 27 -28, then on to the Denver area to visit our friends Dwight and Jeanine, Grover and Teddy. We have no definite plans after that, so we will keep you posted on where the "wind" takes us. We need to be back home in Midlothian by August 27, so there is plenty of time to see some of the beauty our country has to offer.
