The story began with a 5-week journey in a 1997 RV, from Richmond, Va to Utah and back, July 23 through August 27, 2011. The next step included the sale of that RV and the purchase of a larger, classier RV we call Princess. Now we have changed RVs again. We sold the Princess to a family of 5, and purchased a 2017 Class C, smaller than the Princess but some better features as well as some limitations storage wise. And so our adventures continue.

DAY 5 - Travel Day.
DAY 4 - last visit day
We spent the day with the Andersons, taking walks with the dogs, and sharing lots of conversation. Sharon and I figured a few things out on our phones so we could be more creative with our messages. Sharon fixed pork & sauerkraut for dinner to make sure we had some as we welcome the new year. Finally we said our goodbyes for now and headed back to our RV. Hopefully they will come for a visit while we are in Gulf Shores....we even checked out the rates at the Lodge, which is very reasonably priced.

Day 3- visiting the Andersons
After breakfast, we loaded Gus into the truck and headed over to Dennis and Sharon Anderson's home for the day. We spent a good part of the day walking Gus and Hunter, sharing stories and just catching up.
Late afternoon we decided to go out to dinner in Bluffton, at Nectar Farm Kitchen. We arrived about 5 pm, in time to grab the Early Dinner deal that included a soup or salad and a main dish for $25. Jim had the She Crab chowder and Shrimp and Grits. He said it was the best shrimp & grits he had ever eaten. I had the She Crab chowder and Glazed Salmon with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes. The food was all good and so was the service and the atmosphere.

DAY 2 - HEADED TO HARDEEVILLE, SC
We are on our way to Lake Jasper RV Resort in Hardeeville, SC. While there we will visit friends for a few days. On our drive, we learned a quick lesson....AVOID Buc-ees if possible when in the RV. We pulled in to get fuel and pulled out within 5 minutes headed back on the road. Stopped at a new QT with truck lanes and easy in/out off I-95. Buc-ees was jam packed with crazy and inconsiderate drivers....people left their cars at the pumps to visit the store so there were no spots available...hard to believe. We gave up on that. It turned out to be better at QT. Cost of diesel was $3.26 per gallon, so prices are definitely getting better! 40 gallons in and we were on our way again in under 10 minutes.
Lots of traffic again today...
