Today we sold our 2000 Monaco Windsor ( Princess Di) to a young family who live northeast of Richmond. We hope that it brings them as many memories as it has for us. We will miss it, but we are downsizing to a 29 ft Class C RV...one that I can drive, making it easier on Jim. We will take less "stuff" with us, certainly a good thing. We had way too much "stuff" in the Princess! Below are pics of some of what came out of the Motorhome. I have already made one trip to the thrift store with donations; I am sure there will be at least one more trip there.
The story began with a 5-week journey in a 1997 RV, from Richmond, Va to Utah and back, July 23 through August 27, 2011. The next step included the sale of that RV and the purchase of a larger, classier RV we call Princess. Now we have changed RVs again. We sold the Princess to a family of 5, and purchased a 2017 Class C, smaller than the Princess but some better features as well as some limitations storage wise. And so our adventures continue.

DAY 67-69 VISITING Family
We are enjoying our time with Jerry & Heidi. We went and looked at RV trailers, the Brinkley Models at a local dealer. Jerry & Heidi are considering buying the 27 ft model trailer, which is very nice. His truck will pull it without any problem. We also looked at a 23 ft trailer that our truck could pull if we decided to downsize. The jury is out on that...we shall see. Afterwards we went out to eat at an Italian Reataurant called Sorelles. The food was excellent, as was the service.
We got home in plenty of time to relax a bit before I had to tutor online for an hour.
After tutoring, I sat with everyone in front of the firepit out back. Time to relax!!!
Things are looking up for Jerry & Heidi regarding her parents, both 81. Bob is being moved to a facility with palliative care/hospice, and they are looking at options for her mother. Heidi spent a good part of the day at the hospital with her sister & brother, the guys terrorized the dogs with shooting practice in the back field, and the dogs stuck close to me while I read a book.

DAY 65-66- Travel Days
We said goodbye to Gulf Shores and headed north to pick up I-65 toward Murfreesboro, TN. We will stop for the night north of Birmingham, at MyRVPark in Hanceville, Exit 291 off I-65 Alabama. Tomorrow it will be a much shorter drive to get to Jerry & Heidi's home, where we will stay until Friday morning. Then we will head for home, arriving Saturday afternoon to a clean house thanks to Steven and a cleaning crew he hired.
We had a serious issue with one of the bikes falling off the bike rack. Some motorists let us know we had a problem. A stap broke off the wheel hold and the bar used to hold Jim's bike in place came loose. We now have the two bikes tied together so there should be no more issue with that.
Our stop for the night gave us a pull-thru site so easy in and out...not the greatest place to stay but it worked well for 1 night.
We crossed the Tennessee River....two parts.
