We drove up to John Pennekamp State Park without incident other than the tow bar not working right. I drove the Jeep separately but traffic moved well so it took us about 70 min to travel the 50 miles, about a third of the time it took 9 days ago.
Our site is #28...close to the dumpsters, a bathroom, and a walking trail. It is a bit narrow, maybe too narrow to put up the Clam (our dining tent), but we are thankful for full hookup with functioning sewer. When we left Curry Hammick they were still trying to fix the sewer pump, so the dump station was closed for a few more days.
Gus and I took a long walk through the park, but he did not want to get near the edge of the dock where the boats are. I took a few pics from a distance. We'll explore some more tomorrow.
