Matanzas & Halifax Rivers

These two rivers come together just north of the campground at Gamble Roger's, so it's hard to tell which river we are on when we kayak north from the kayak launch.  Yesterday was a calm day so we went for a 2-hour kayak upriver.  As we headed out, we encountered 2 motorboats and 3 sailboats headed in the opposite direction, all moving slowly except for one motorboat that felt the need for speed.  It left a big wake that we had to maneuver....thank you idiots for being inconsiderate.  Otherwise our kayaking was quite peaceful.
