We arrived at our friends' home Friday before noon. We will stay until Thursday, Feb 15. It's Mardi Gras weekend, and Friday night was the first parade in downtown Pensacola. We met friends at the Irish Pub along the parade Route, enjoying drinks and conversation inside before heading outside for the parade. It was raining a little during the parade but not enough to deter some fun.
Before the parade started I stepped off the curb only to have my feet go flying out in front of me, landing on my butt...I now have a very bruised tailbone...standing is fine but sitting or bending are very painful. Hopefully that will subside in the coming days. We spent the rainy Saturday watching movies and basketball games.
