We had an uneventful drive across the state today, past pastures, crops, and citrus farms. We would have loved to have grabbed some fruit off the trees we passed by, but aside from being illegal, it is not a simple task to pull over to the side of a two-line road with little berm. I am sure we will visit a farmers market or fruit stand to get some fresh oranges and other items in the next few days.
There is lots of river at Myakka River State Park. They have dealt with a lot of rain over the past few weeks and everything is soaked...puddles everywhere! Poor Sadie had trouble finding a spot to poop without standing in water, which she hates. It has been raining since we got here this afternoon, which doesn't help either, but hopefully the sunny forcast for the coming week will hold true and help dry things up.
