Lake Manatee State Park is located about 8 miles west of Bradenton, just north of Sarasota. There is a big Lake here, but no manatees. There are fish in the lake and Jim hopes to catch a few of them while kayaking. There are also lots of walking paths around the park, so we can get our steps in....or at least Diane can. The past two days we have also been dealing with a cell phone issue, using over 9 gb in less than 12 hours, most of it happening at 5:20 am. I spent several hours on the phone yesterday and another hour on the phone today trying to figure out what is happening at 5:20 am since it happened again overnight. Thankfully the Verizon tech guy has been very patient and very good. The only hassle today was having to drive to the nearest Apple store in Sarasota only to be told they couldn't help me do a restore today. The tech guy is calling again tomorrow morning hopefully with some good solution (s) to the problem.
This evening we enjoyed cocktail time with a terrific couple from Lake George, NY. Karen and Mario own a few t-shirt shops on the main street in Lake George, so it is likely one of us was in their store when we visited Lake George a few years ago. We hope our paths cross again!
