Wednesday we drove north on I-65 toward Birmingham AL. we stayed overnight at an RV Campground called YellowHammer RV Campground, just off the interstate. It was fine for one night and we had a pull-thru site....easy in and easy out.
Thursday morning we drove the rest of the way to Jerry & Heidi's home in Murfreesboro TN. We spent a few days there visiting, enjoying the company of our niece's son Aiden who is 18 months old, part of the time.
They bought a camper trailer so we will meet up later this summer in East Tennessee for about 4 days.
Today we are headed east toward Virginia. We will stay overnight at Rocky Top Campground just south if Blountville off I-81.
Our site at Rocky Top was level, which is amazing since the campground is very hilly. It was fine for an overnight stop but we would not have wanted to stay longer and may never stay there again. Gus would be happy with that as there were very few grassy areas for him to "check out".
