The story began with a 5-week journey in a 1997 RV, from Richmond, Va to Utah and back, July 23 through August 27, 2011. The next step included the sale of that RV and the purchase of a larger, classier RV we call Princess. Now we have changed RVs again. We sold the Princess to a family of 5, and purchased a 2017 Class C, smaller than the Princess but some better features as well as some limitations storage wise. And so our adventures continue.

Starting our 14th Year of RVing
We have been RVing since late2010 when Jim and his brother drove "Captain America" from California to Virginia, a 30 ft Class A Motorhome towing a PT Cruiser on a dolly. We took that rig down to Asheville for a long weekend, and out to Colorado on a long trip. When we got home from our first trip west we sold "Captain America" and bought our current motorhome, a 2000 Monaco Windsor with a slide out. We have had various maintenance issues over the years but it hasn't seemed to slow us down for long. We are now headed south a little later than planned this year because of maintenance issues. We had the rig in the shop to get the air bags replaced but only the front half were done as it seems that a different size are used on the back. We will deal with that when we get home late March. Jim changed all the batteries and then we started having other problems. Most have been dealt with but a few still need to get worked out, including the slideout which is not working. We can managed without it but would prefer to have it work so parts will be ordered and replaced as we go through this trip.
