In preparation for a special ceremony tomorrow (9/11), the College of the Ozarks set up a field of flags on the lawn of the Vietnam Memorial established by the college with funding from Bass Pro and another corporation. We had an opportunity to visit the memorial and very honored to learn a little about the story behind it. There is a field of trees planted there with a block of wood at the base of each tree engraved with the name of a former Missouri serviceman from that war. All of this was done by the students...so beautiful.
