Feb. 28 we moved from Rainbow Springs State Park to Blue Spring State Park, about 80 miles away as the crow flies, but by the highways, about 120 miles away. It was a rough ride for us because the RV began to act up again, with the WARNING light coming on as well as the STOP ENGINE coming on whenever Jim accelerated. We pulled into a rest area and he checked everything out, but everything seemed to be OK, so we headed down the road about 30 miles before pulling into another rest area. There Jim changed the two oil filters in the back, even though they had only been in for less than 300 miles of travel. At first it seemed like that worked, but within minutes the WARNING light came back on and stayed on while the STOP ENGINE light came on when he accelerated again. The engine never stopped running, and we were able to get to Blue Spring, but the problem still needs to be dealt with. Jim will change out the oil filters again and also check the air filter before we move out next week. At least we don't have far to go next week, as we are only going over to the coast between Flagler Beach and Daytona Beach....Gamble Rogers State Park, where we will spend 2 weeks.
Our site at Blue Spring SP is very nice...a handicapped site. Well, we do have a handicapped dog....doesn't that count? I did not realize it was a handicapped site, but there are several other such sites and none of the RVers in them are handicapped. We are right across from the bath house and laundry machings; however the machines cost $4 each to run so we will not likely be using them unless we get desperate. We are close enough to the dump station that we could use the machine in the RV and just dump right away.
