We traveled about 340 miles yesterday, dealing with lots of peaks and valleys. It was slow going up the hills at a 5%-7% grade and too fast down those hills, with a little burning brakes. Our drive took us past horse farms in western Virginia, over the New River, through Charleston WV and crossing the Kanawha River several times on our journey. We stayed overnight at the Walmart in Hurricane, with its massive parking lot to go with the massive store itself.
