On to Bardstown Kentucky

The temperatures in this part of West Virginia are a bit cooler than at home. It got down to the low 50s overnight and is still in the 50s as we continue west.

Our drive today was mostly in Kentucky. We crossed the Big Sandy River, a tributary of the Ohio River, into Kentucky about 40 miles into our drive.

KEENELAND goes on forever! It has many entrances.

Then there is the Kentucky Castle, now a 4-star hotel at $300 per night....too rich for my blood!

Today is the last day of the Bourbon Festival. We attended the festival in 2014, and while it was fun, there were also a lot of things you had to pay lots extra for. I remember how we bought drinks at the basement bar/restaurant next door for much less $$$.

We finally made it to White Acres Campground, 2 miles west of Bardstown center. The is a group of RVS, 26 from what I could tell who are traveling as a group with a tour company.
