We were invited to join in on a retirement party st Flora-Bama today, about 20 minutes away. Chuck, a friend of Mike & Joanna, and his wife were hosting the event upstairs at Flora-Bama. The place sits on the border between Florida and Alabama, has at least 5 bars with live music at many of them, and lots of "decorated" walls. Even the bathrooms are covered in graffiti. We knew some of the folks who were present, met many others but don't ask me their names. It was very hard to hear anything because of the loud music. Jim took his hearing aids out and so did Mike.
After a vodka & tonic. Jim decided to get me a Bushwacker and it kicked my butt! I am done drinking for the day. After 3+ hours of drinking, talking, and enjoying the music we said our goodbyes and headed home to check on Gus, get some dinner and relax watching NFL football.
