We were very worried about Gus yesterday. He refused to go out until after Noon! I was finally able to get him to go for a walk and pee...several times. He had not eaten, not even biscuits, but finally ate all of his food last night. This morning things seemed more normal with a 7 am walk, pee and poop. We met up with Maise, a 14 yr old chocolate lab on our walk, and the two dogs had a few minutes of greetings before moving on.
While our days down here are not always exciting, we are not "missing" the freezing temps, the ice, the snow back home. Here i can get in two good walks (2 -3 miles at least) per day most days, be out in the sunshine collecting Vitamin D, sit outside and read when the temperatures are in the 60s...all things I cannot do at home when the weather is wintry. I have gotten in 2 short bike rides and will hopefully get in a few more before we leave here, but I am being careful of my knee not to overdo it. I have also gotten in a few beach walks and am looking forward to a few more.
