We have enjoyed beautiful weather the past several days. It has rained at night so we have been enjoying partly to mostly sunny skies during the day and nice temperatures...in the 70s with lows around 60. We have ridden the bikes around the park, chatted with other "campers" and enjoyed sitting outside reading. Gus has been on several long walks a day, mostly on grass, and his back paw pad is healing. Yesterday we took Gus with us to Pensacola, had lunch at Mike & Joanne's home, and stopped at Joe Patti's for seafood before heading home. So much seafood to choose from! I purchased a large flounder filet, 3 lbs of shrimp, 1/2 lb of smoked salmon, 1 lb of crab meat and 8 oz of crab dip....all for under $75. Some is in the freezer for next week but we will enjoy some shrimp and the flounder this week.
Today Gus is going to get his nails trimmed which will hold him for the rest of the trip. He will get a bath next week before Mark and Lori get here. I am enjoying sitting outside in the sun for a little while reading a book...nothing special...just some light reading this time.
