Today we had a visit from friends who took us to their favorite restaurant in the area, now our favorite as well....Doc's Seafood Shack. Each couple shared a meal that included shrimp, crab cakes, and fish filets as well as fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies. We also ordered their specialty drink, the Bushwacker. Jim had the traditional Bushwacker while I enjoyed the salted Caramel Bushwacker. It was delicious! The food was great too and plentiful!
After taking a little drive around the area we headed back to the campground to visit longer and let Gus outside for a little bit. We all decided to go to FloraBama so Jim and I could experience it for our first time. The place is quite large with several areas and a variety of music. We ended up upstairs where two musicians were playing some old tunes and some funny songs with crazy lyrics. This place was hopping and my guess is that it is like that most of the time.
