We drove along the gulf coast of Florida yesterday, arriving at St. George Island early afternoon amid rain showers.
The Campground is about 8 miles out once arriving on the island, so it was a long drive out here. It has been several years since we were last here and our memories are a bit distorted. Perhaps it is because the weather was much nicer then. Today we will reach a high temp of 50, with 20-30 mph winds, so not a good day for walking on the beach or riding bikes. Anderson's joined us in the Campground last evening, their site being at the other end of the loop. We are in site 9 and they are in site 33. Saturday they will leave to go visit their son's family in Pensacola to celebrate a birthday or two.
It's nice to have company, especially when the weather is not being cooperative.
