Steven's birthday was yesterday. I sent an ecard that was delivered in the morning and called later in the day when we were driving back to the campground.
First we had breakfast with Joanne, Mike, Donna, and Bill at the Coffee Cup in Pensacola. We are planning a trip to Ireland in the Fall, all 6 of us, so we had plenty to talk about.
We got back to our site about 1:30 after making a few stops along the way. Gus was very patient with us, and I took him for a good walk when we got back. We scared 2 turtles sitting on the bank of the creek, and they went splashing into the water. Gus wanted to go after them at first, but I held him back.
The rains came last night and were intermittent through this morning, finally stopping about noon. I ran a load of wash and fixed Jambalaya for dinner. I also finished a Kay Scarpetta murder mystery so will donate the book to one of the little libraries around camp.
