We have settled into a routine these past few days. One of us takes Gus for an early morning walk about 7 am. Most folks are still sleeping or relaxing in their campers. This morning was my turn to take Gus out. There was a bit of fog but it was slowly beginning to lift. We walked to the Middle Lake by the recreation facilities where we saw many dead fish, mullet, floating along the water's edge and laying on the boat ramp. A ranger said that was because of the freezes we had a week or more ago. There also was a flock of birds floating in the water just a short distance from shore. We still couldn't see the other side of the lake yet but the fog is lifting. It was a very peaceful walk. The temperature at 7 am was about 55 but it will be back up to 70 by noon. Later in the day one of us will take Gus for a second long walk. I like to take him on one of the walking trails away from the traffic of cars and bikes. We are both doing a good bit of reading while sitting out in the sun or shade. Gus loves hanging out with us outside.
