Yesterday we had a 30 minute rain storm move through in the middle of the day, then last night we were all up part of the night thanks to some thunderstorms and heavy rain. Gus got on the bed with us for most of that time. He hates thunderstorms.
The temperatures are cooler today, reaching a high of about 67. We made a trip to the grocery store for a few things, including milk and bread. Jim wanted Fritos but did not want to spend $5.35 for a small bag. We picked up another cinnamon King Cake, since we enjoyed the first one so much. Rouse's Grocery store is a lot like the old Ukrops stores we had....not too big but good quality.
It looks like more cool temperatures are on the way, especially at night, but it's still much better than in Virginia. We will have friends visiting us on Saturday. Jerry & Heidi will arrive next Wednesday to stay for our last 2 weeks here.
