Yesterday we took a drive along the beach through Panama Beach and beyond. There is still a lot or reconstruction going on there. On top of that, a lot of businesses are closed until March 1...their loss because there are plenty of people around. On the way back along Rt 98, we located a gas station where we will be able to fill up with diesel on our way out of town. We also stopped to pick up some groceries at a Winn Dixie before heading back to camp.
Today we took a bike ride out to the beaches and the boardwalk. Afterward we gave Gus a bath during which he slipped out of his collar and ran off covered in shampoo. It took about 6 people to corner him and get his collar back on so we could take him back to finish the job.
An hour of tutoring came next followed by a revisit to the peer to watch the sunset and the moon rise.
