Our first stop will be Warriors Creek State Park, just past Bristol, TN and not far off I-81. It is a long drive through Virginia, especially when heading to the southwest corner of the state. Taking Rt 60 and then dropping south through Appomattox to pick up Rt 460 to Roanoke is at least a prettier drive than I-64.

20 more miles to go for the day. Then we can rest for the evening, have something to eat. Tomorrow is another long day of driving.
We arrived at Warriors Path State Park and found our site quickly, site 140. The site is plenty big but slopes down a little on the right side. It didn't take long to settle in. Dinner was a salad and meatloaf followed by home baked cookies.
