We left Oklahoma City early this morning before traffic got bad. Two hours later we were enjoying breakfast at Lucille's Roadhouse on Rte 66 in Weatherford OK.
After a hearty breakfast we headed down the road to the Rt 66 Museum in Clinton, OK.
Next we found a few more roadside attractions that are part of the Route 66 Era, including the leaning water tower.
We finally arrived at the Big Texan Ranch late afternoon, got settled in, took refreshing showers and relaxed before heading over to the steakhouse.
Two different guys attempted to eat the 72 oz steak dinner in under an hour. We don't know how the 2nd one did but the first one failed and had to pay for his meal. We had a new and young waitress who needs more training or is in the wrong job, but we managed to get our meal finally with plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.
