We decided to kayak the entire way around the island where we are camping. It is one of two islands that comprise Fort DeSoto County Park, just south of St Petersburg, FL. The weather started out cloudy but turned sunny while we were out on the water. It was a calm day, with temperatures in the low 70s, perfect for us! The trip took 2.5 hours and was about 5 miles from start to finish at our campsite. Below are pictures from our journey on the water as we moved about the island, including views of St Pete beach.
