We finally got the kayaks in the water for a 3-hour paddle out toward the bay. We didnt get on the water until about 1 pm so there wasnt enough time to paddle all the way out to the bay and back before sunset, but we did paddle a good distance. Along the way we spotted several blue herons, a few great egrets, and one iguana.
The mornings at Koreshan have been quite chilly, but by late morning it has warmed up to moderate temperatures. I have been doing a lot of walking through the park with Gus. By the time we leave on Tuesday I am pretty sure he will have sniffed everywhere in the park. Our biggest disappointment is that there is no farmer's market here this year. There has been one every time we have been here in the past, over at the Koreshan homestead, in the park. We can go back to Mike's U-Pick to get some fresh produce...we'll see. Last night we ate out at Olive Garden using a gift card I have had for years...dont even remember who gave it to us. Dinner was delicious and we brought enough home with us to cover another meal. It was nice to let someone else do the cooking!
