Today's adventure was to visit Apalachicola and Port St Joe. The day was perfect for this, sunny yet cool temps. Most of the drive is along the Gulf Coast and this part of Florida is often called the "forgotten coast". There is a lot of history here along with a lot of oysters. It is a very beautiful area, much of it under the protection of the state and the federal government. There has been a lot of rebuilding in the area as well thanks to hurricane Michael in 2018, and new hotels and beautiful large homes have risen from the rubble.
