Yesterday it was very cold out, more so because of the windy conditions. Gus and I still took a long walk around the park. On our walk we were followed for a bit by a drone, something that is illegal in state parks. I reported it to the rangers but I had no idea who was flying the drone. I was also told by the rangers that there would be a control led burn in the park on Wednesday and to be sure all awnings were down.
Today, Wednesday, the control burn began mid morning at the other end of the campground, behind the campsites. They got to our area early afternoon and we got to watch them work for a few hours. Below are a few photos taken of the operation.
It is still cold today, barely making it into the 50s but there is no wind to speak of. It is a good day for reading!
