The story began with a 5-week journey in a 1997 RV, from Richmond, Va to Utah and back, July 23 through August 27, 2011. The next step included the sale of that RV and the purchase of a larger, classier RV we call Princess. And so our adventures continue.

Digby, NS
Digby is the place for Scallops, at least in Nova Scotia. We bought fresh scallops and cooked some for dinner. They are delicious! We froze 2 bags of scallops as well for future meals. Digby is a large fishing town along the north coast of Nova Scotia, and although the tides are extreme here, they dredged out the harbor so the fishing boats can get out to the ocean regardless of high or low tide. We happened upon a farmers market while visiting town, and enjoyed a walk along the boardwalk. I especially loved that they showcase student art work on the lamp posts around town.
We drove out to the Digby Ferry which travels from Digby to St Johns on the other side of the Bay of Fundy. The area was fogged in, creating a strange sight. We also saw what appeared to be fisheries in the water that are used to raise seafood, perhaps baby lobsters.
