Travel to St. Peters

St, Peters is on the West coast of Cape Breton. Our drive there was about 90 minutes much of it along the shores of Bras D'Or Lake. Below are some of the beautiful views we had along the drive.

We are staying at Battery Provincial Park in St Peters on the coast. Our site overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the mainland of Nova Scotia beyond.

There is a lot of history in the area, from the Mi'Kmaq Indians to the French settlements to the English who took control in 1758.  There is still a lot of Scottish influence here also as evidenced by many of the residents names and by many of the road signs.
