Today's drive was from Five Islands Nova Scotia up through the northwestern part of Nova Scotia, back into New Brunswick, and the across the bridge onto Prince Edward Island. The one scary thing that happened was almost hitting two pedestrians crossing the road without a crosswalk and with lots of traffic. It wasnt an intersection either, just a long stretch of road. We came within a few inches of hitting the couple. Jim burned some brakes and honked his horn, but couldn't stop in time...they were clueless, but the horn got them to put it in high gear. Thankfully for all we missed them, but barely! The rest of the drive was uneventful and we are now settled into a large drive through campsite in an otherwise crowded campground north of Charlottetown, called Pine Hills RV Park. We have full hookup with 50 amp service, so I will do laundry while we are here.

The only way to get to PEI is by ferry or by an 8 mile long bridge. We did not have to pay a toll getting onto the island but will have to pay a hefty one going back( about $60 canadian).
The landscape here is very different from Nova Scotia , at least so for. There is lots of farmland with potato crops, wheat fields, and saffron (at least we think that's what it is).
