After another delicious breakfast, our group headed to the Buffalo Bill Museum not far down the road from the campground. We spent over 2 hours exploring the museum, learning about the life of Buffalo Bill Cody and his family and friends. We also wandered through a very extensive section of the museum on the history of firearms. I doubt that the Smithsonian has a better collection on display.
Finally we went to find a restaurant to have lunch. We first tried the Irma Hotel Restaurant where there is a historic bar, but their wait staff was lacking and we walked out after sitting there unattended for 20 minutes. We finally settled on Granny's Diner, which had decent food, and then walked through town. After a stop at the grocery store, we went back to camp and took Gus for a walk. The men went back to the museum for a while in the afternoon.
Our evening plans were to have Diner at the campground and then go to the rodeo, starting at 8 pm, but sadly the rodeo was canceled, so we stayed in and played Mexican Train Dominoes.
