This morning we said goodbye to Paul and Mary for 3 days. They left to visit friends in Washington, Utah, over in the southwest corner of the state. Mike and Joanne are with us in Moab for one more day before they head back to Denver and then home to Pensacola on Tuesday. Jim and I will stay in Moab until Tuesday when we will head to the Bryce Canyon area for 4 days. Paul and Mary will rejoin us there.
Today Mike, Joanne, Jim and I visited Canyonland National Park. There was more smoke in the area from the fires west of here but we still saw some incredible sites. The only animals seen were 2 crows, a chipmunk, a salamander and a green snake. Below are some of the photos taken. Afterward we had lunch in Moab, made a quick stop at the grocery store for lettuce, tomatoes and ice cream, then headed back to the campground to do some laundry and relax a bit. We ended the evening watching OLD black & white westerns.
