Day 6 August 10

The day started with a few early rain showers as we packed up to move up the road toward Omaha, Nebraska. We quickly drove out of the rain as we drove north on I-29, past fields of corn and another crop that might be soybeans. For a short time we were in Iowa before crossing into Nebraska south of Omaha.
The picture above has Mary Joseph within 2 of the signs, as in one of our traveling companions.

Our campground is located in Ashland, between Lincoln and Omaha. It is a rather new campground with beautifully paved sites, just on the edge of town.
Paul and Mary had lunch in town while we set up "camp". This afternoon we all visited the Aerospace Museum on the edge of town. We spent almost 2 hours there, wandering among the exhibits and planes.
We topped off the day with dinner at Round the Bend Steak House, home of the Testicle Festival on Father's Day. All of us ordered steak in some form, enjoyed wine and beers, and left with half of some meals. It was very good food and a friendly atmosphere. None of us however was brave enough to order a serving of "balls"...we all passed on the cow balls.
