This day started with a very early rise for a balloon ride but no sooner had we gotten up at 5 am when we got a message that the balloon ride was canceled due to high winds. Back to bed for a few hours....at least we tried, most of us not so successfully.
After everyone showered and the cooler was loaded with water and a few other drinks we headed north to Santa Fe for the day. Once there we looked for a place to have breakfast/brunch since it was almost 10 am. We walked to the Plaza Cafe on the square which was very busy but had 4 seats at the counter for us. It was a great spot to watch the staff in action, especially making Bloody Marys. We didn't order any ourselves, sticking to coffee and tea. Breakfast was plentiful...couldn't eat it all myself but Jim helped eat some of mine as he often does.
We made sure to see the Loretto Chapel with a beautiful spiral staircase.
By 2 pm we were ready to sit down and relax a few minutes so we went to the Thunderbird Bar and Grill for drinks before doing a little more exploring.
