Day 26 - to El Paso

We left Sentinel Park Rv Park about 7:30 am. Our first stop was Wilcox, AZ for diesel fuel and breakfast at Roadrunner Kafe.

Our drive took us east on I-10 past desert land, then pecan orchards, pistachio trees, even some farm land.

Before long we were back in New Mexico, southern New Mexico this time. There are road signs warning of dust storms...hope we don't experience that.

The winds made driving the RV a big challenge today. We stopped on the side of the road to fix the awnings on the passenger side before the winds carried them away.
As we drove into Las Cruces on I-10, we got to see a sculpture of a roadrunner just off the highway. It stands 20 ft tall and is constructed using recycled materials including sneakers, watches, bike parts and other materials. It is said to be watching over I-10.

Las Cruces looked big but we were through there in just minutes and on to El Paso.

By mid-afternoon we arrived at Fort Bliss Rv Park, thanks to Mike. The cost per night is $23 with full hookup, a nice bath house, and a laundry. I will take pictures tomorrow to share.
