This morning we packed everything back into the RV, hitched up the Jeep, and headed east on I-10. We stopped for fuel after we crossed into Arizona, paying $4.50 per gallon as opposed to California prices of $6.50 to $7.25. A few exits later we stopped for a late breakfast at Times 3 Family Restaurant/Diner in Quartzsite,, AZ. The special was French toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage for $9.99, a bargain and very good. The scenery so far in Arizona is not much different than southeastern CA....DRY DESERT with mountains off in the distance.
After 8 hours on the road and several traffic backups, we finally arrived at our campground in Tucson, AZ. It is a very small campground but has full hookups; no showers so we all have to share the shower in the RV...just 3 days and then we move on. The pool water is frigid...we let the guys check it out.
